Transitions

This time of purgatory between Summer and Fall is killing me, sartorially speaking. (I dunno if it's just ME, but I am actually really ready to see what Spring 2013 has to offer...Ok I need to cool my jets. It's the internets fault!) But seriously, I am officially uninspired by the shapes, colors, and silhouettes of the Summer season. I am ready for a dark, moody Fall full of richly saturated jewel tones, over sized textured coats, and sculptural booties. Weather Gods, if you can hear me up there, I am gonna go ahead a give you the A-OK on behalf of the Northern Hemisphere. All systems are a go for Fall. While I sit and wait for the weather Gods to get it together up there, I was inspired to create a transitional outfit by the most unlikely of sources: Juicy Couture. I found the image below in their Fall 2012 Lookbook and had one of those "A-HA!" moments when I realized I could create the same-ish look with items I picked up at the thrift store. (As usual.) On account of the 90-degree weather SoCal has been experiencing, I ditched the tights and slipped on my Marc Jacobs inspired vintage loafers. Also, minimal accessories because over accesorizing feels a little bit done to death lately. (Is your arm tired of partying yet?) For now, this pseudo-Fall attire will have to do!

OH YA. PS- Cut my hair and got bangs. I have hair ADD.

Thrifted Shelli Segal sweater, skirt, loafers. Vintage necklace.

  1. You know how much I love this outfit. It still breaks my heart that we are not the same show size :( I'm praying for cold weather too because I'm melting
