Brittany and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

So I realize that Chelsea is next up on the gamut, but she needed to take a break today to cram for her midterms…ah the life of a college student. What a dream. But, I digress. No secret here: I loooooooooooooove color. When I see something coming down the runway (via Style.com….) my eye is first and foremost drawn to the color palette. (If you’ve ever visited my Pinterest, you know this to be true.) I love people who aren’t afraid to really experiment with color like Marc Jacobs and Miuccia Prada. I am CONSTANTLY on the lookout for FRESH color combinations. (The internet is trying to tell me “black and white” is the hottest, newest, freshest color combo for Spring. Guys, come on.) If you are reading this blog, then you probably love color as much as I do. You are one of those people who understands the world of difference that exists between a muted palette and a saturated palette. When I ask you, “Is it mustard, lemon, or pastel yellow?” you answer, “It’s more of a burnt saffron.” While getting dressed, I always think in colors. Today, I’ve REEEALLY gone balls to the walls. It’s this crazy neon dress/coat thing I picked up at some vintage store a while back…I mean how out of control is this bad boy? Unbuttoned and casually thrown over the most perfect pair of destroyed Levi’s in existence. OK ya, it’s a little on the bold side. And yes, it’s a bit…bright. But like, whatever! Call me crazy but I think it works. Or just call me crazy, that's fine too. #DGAFlifestyle

  4. Absolutely love this look! And the colours in the coat rock - I was obsessed with an ethnic bag on Etsy with similar hues but waited too long to snatch it up. Now I'm even more obsessed with those colours! Xo
